Overview
The osp qc engineer will provide support and perform quality control reviews on osp engineering designsKnowledge of osp design, customer and jurisdictional requirements will be crucial to the success of quality control.
Qualifications
· high school diploma or ged equivalent.
· 5+ years of osp engineering experience preferred, but not required.
· must be proficient in osp construction standards.
· must have experience in designing a telecommunication fiber print.
· interpret underground, direct buried, and aerial telecom facilities records on maps and fielding notes.
· knowledge of materials needed for designing & constructing prints.
· computer experience:
· microsoft windows xp or newer.
· microsoft excel 2003 or newer.
· microsoft outlook.
· familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
· good communication skills.
· personal time management and organization skillsDeadline driven, self-motivated and technically savvy.
· ability to maintain and update databases.
Travel / work environment/physical requirements
May be required at times for training purposes.
Preferred -on prem work locationQualified individuals can work remote.
Able to sit for long periods of time / look at a computer screen for long periods of time.
