Founded in 2003, stauer is a national multi-million dollar direct response company specializing in affordable, historically-inspired watches, jewelry and collectiblesDrawing inspiration from everything from the uffizi gallery in florence and the met in new york, to ancient egyptian jewelry and renaissance art, we`re constantly looking around the world for new product ideasWe are seeking a dynamic and innovative copywriter to join our team at our headquarters in richmond, vaStauer is a significant print advertiser – the designer will see his or her work in over 300 national magazinesThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team that will pioneer the development of stauer`s signature product lines.
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate is a writer with voice, personality and humor who understands the classic concept of using words to sellWe need a bringer of big ideas, a lover of amazing stories and someone unafraid to flirt with the bombastic and the boldYou will write everything from catalog copy, print ads and video scripts to banner ads, blog posts and birthday cardsYou must work well with others and embrace an unconventional, collaborative workplace.
Furthermore, the function of a copywriter is to communicate benefits, convince the customer and close the dealPrimarily, this job will be done through writing, but the ideal candidate will come equipped with ideas that help sell stauer products beyond wordsThe copywriter will be tasked with providing sales copy for products, promotional copy for direct marketing pieces and brand messaging for stauer.
Requirements:
We strongly prefer candidates with at least 6 years copywriting experience, including catalog, direct response copy and advertising with a portfolio of work showcasing your writing abilityMust know your way around computers, basic design software and having a finger on the pulse of social mediaMust possess the ability to translate sales points into benefits of ownershipA four year english or journalism college degree and/or 5 plus years of copywriting experience is required.
