Role summary
This position can be either a vp or a director of engineering depending on experienceIt`s more important that you exemplify the stormx missionWe`ll fit the title to your experience.
Your mission is to evolve our product and technology strategy, along with building a growing team of crypto loving engineersYou`re also the kind of person that isn`t afraid to get their hands dirty - day to day management of technical projects and members of the dev team.
You should be highly motivated and an inquisitive vp/director of engineering, with knowledge of the web3 ecosystemYou should have a desire to wear multiple hats, and thrive in a startup environment where ambiguity is opportunityThe ideal candidate will have prior experience in a senior technical leadership position and deep expertise in building and shipping consumer facing productsWe are growing rapidly so candidates should have experience hiring and supporting diverse and globally distributed teams of engineers.
The vp/director of engineering will work closely with the cto & co-founder managing the teams and be part of the leadership team.
Requirements
What you will do
25% recruiting and building an engineering culture
30% people managementLeading a team that will grow from 5 engineers to 10 engineers in less than a year.
30% leading technical projects ranging from blockchain to traditional fintech and everything in between
15% hands-on coding and reviewing
Requirements
3+ years experience leading and growing engineering teams
3+ years experience in our tech stack (aws, node.js/typescript, kubernetes, docker, react/react native)
Experience in fintech, consumer-facing software, and crypto
Data-driven, test-driven
Strong passion for crypto startups
Degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred requirements
5+ years experience leading and growing engineering teams
4+ years experience in our tech stack (aws, node.js/typescript, kubernetes, docker, react/react native)
Experience developing solidity contracts for defi
