Cloud strategist pm roles and responsibilities:
Strategize, define, and deliver cloud migration plan per customer’s requirements.
Work with customer to enlighten cloud knowledge and expectations.
Ability to make tradeoff recommendations regarding cost, security, and deployment complexity given a set of application requirements.
Lead cloud migration team to implement solutions.
Plan and implement projects.
Help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
Define tasks and required resources.
Coordinate project team.
Manage budget.
Create schedule and project timeline.
Track deliverables.
Lead meetings and set expectations for project team.
Monitor and report on project progress.
Present to stakeholders on progress as well as risks/issues and mitigations.
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
Cloud strategist pm skills/requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; master’s degree a plus.
Certification as an aws cloud practitioner(other cloud-related certification also a plus.)
Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale.
At least five years of hands-on experience implementing projects as aws workloads.
Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
Interest in cloud engineering and its impact on greater business practices.
Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, project management teams, or alone as required.
Security requirement: ability to obtain a department of treasury minimum background investigation (mbi) is required for this positionProof of u.sCitizenship or a green card is requiredNo exceptions can be made, as this is required by the government contractCandidates with an active department of treasury minimum background investigation (mbi) are preferred.
Location: the position is a combination of remote and on-site work at the discretion of the customer.
