Estate planning attorney
Sullivent and fontanez (sf legal group) was started by two attorneys who managed their own firms for many yearsThey decided to partner together with the sole purpose of designing and creating a law firm with a different structureA structure that made them more dangerous in litigation and allowed them to create relationships with attorneys all over the usSf legal group has been utilizing this unique business structure for the last couple of yearsIt has primarily been used in oklahoma with litigation cases, which included general litigation, probates, trust actions, life insurance disputes and other casesThis structure has allowed us to take cases we would not normally have taken and enables us to assemble a team of attorneys best suited for a particular type of caseOnce we realized the benefits of this structure, we decided to take it in a new directionWe decided to build an estate planning division with 125 to180 attorneys all across the nation.
Sf legal group is the fastest growing estate planning firm in the u.sAnd is already one of the largest with the number of attorneys experienced in estate planningMost importantly, we are pushing hard this year to build out the rest of the divisionOur format allows attorneys to bill time making a referral and allows attorneys to receive referrals from other attorneys all over the nationThis will not only increase everyone’s ability to refer cases, but it also allows us to market attorneys to national companies that have employees in many statesOther firms can’t offer this program because no law firm can connect clients with attorneys in every state.
What we are looking for:
We want attorneys who want more work and focus on estate planningIf you are already too busy, we may not be a good fitThe current attorneys who are part of our group help manage their own firms and understand the value of being involved in something that makes the phone ring moreWhen your phone rings more, you don’t just increase your business, but hopefully you are able to grow your business with the type of business you want, and you can stop taking cases you don’t wantWe want attorneys who enjoy talking to other attorneys across the us, referring clients to one another, talking law or just shooting the bullWe don’t charge you to be part of our group, you don’t have to accept work that is referred to you and we don’t stick our nose in your law firm’s business.
How we are compensated:
Sf legal group is compensated when attorneys in the group refer cases to each other, or new clients sign up with our firmOne way clients sign up with our firm is through programs marketed to companies and other large groups of people who might need estate planning servicesIn addition, we will be able to assist all types of groups of people.
For example:
We have a group of potential clients, cadets in the army, who will deploy in the spring of next yearWe have offered flat rate pricing on their estate planning needsIn addition, they only pay 25% down and the remainder is paid in equal installments over the next three months, interest freeThere could be a substantial number of cadets wishing to use our servicesThis could mean hundreds of trusts coming in at onceWe have established the process and fee splits for all attorneys who wish to participateThe cadet could be in arizona and the attorney could be in new yorkThe attorney calls the client and discusses their issueThe attorney prepares the documents considering laws of arizonaThe attorney then sends it to an attorney with sf legal group licensed in arizona who would review the trust to ensure the documents comply with arizona lawThe reviewing attorney will give the attorney in new york the opinion and any recommendationsThen the attorney in new york can email to the client for reviewOnce the documents are the way they should be, the attorney in arizona can assist with the signingThis program with the cadets could require us to seek the assistance of every estate planning attorney in the group.
Work hours:
This is a contract position and there are no specified hours nor are you required to accept any potential client referred to you.
Education and experience requirements:
Juris doctor (j.d.)
Minimum of 2 years of significant and substantive estate planning experience preferred or strong desire to expand this part of your business
Proficiency with microsoft office and legal e-discovery software
In good standing with your states bar association
