Photovoltaic design engineer

Sunvest solar, incIs a leading solar developer of distributed-scale solar energy projectsWe are looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to fill a cad designer role on our growing teamThis opportunity will be based out of sunvest solar’s headquarters in pewaukee, wi.
Position overview
As a solar designer, you will be responsible for designing solar pv system layouts, preparing project drawings and other technical documents used for pitching, permitting and installationThis position will work closely with the development and operations departments.
Responsibilities:
Generate construction ready designs for commercial and ground mount projects
Generate a variety of technical project documents for a pipeline of projects
Maintain technical library of cad blocks
Provide support throughout permitting and installation process
Maintain expert technical knowledge of all sunvest solar’s products and services
Required skills:
5 years of experience with 1mw+ photovoltaic systems
Through understanding of all related codes
Experience working closely with contracted professional engineers
Demonstrated knowledge of autocad software
The ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and consistently meet challenging deadlines
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently
Preferred skills:
Ba/bs in electrical or mechanical engineering
Experience completing performance modeling using pvsyst
Nabcep certified
