Position purpose:
Perform duties to ensure that authorization errors are corrected that could interfere with claims processingResolve authorization issues that impact claim denials, reconsiderations, or appealsTroubleshoot other authorization & system errors as identifiedReview authorization related check runs for claims and system configuration accuracyReview and respond to non-clinical medical review authorization appeals.

Resolve authorization issues that impact claim denials, reconsiderations, or appeals.
Troubleshoot other authorization & system errors as identified.
Review authorization related check runs for claims and system configuration accuracy.
Review and respond to non-clinical medical review authorization appeals.
Receive and respond to internal and external authorization related issues.

Education/experience:
High school diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree preferred3+ years of managed care environment experience with knowledge of the authorization process, medicaid benefits and customer service experience.
