Full job description
Supplyhouse.com, an e-commerce heating, plumbing, and hvac supply company, is searching for a logistics coordinator to join our vendor management teamThe logistics coordinator is responsible for overseeing the import process, ensuring shipments are moved through the process in a timely manner, as well as working with domestic shipping partners and other related tasks.
Due to the circumstances regarding covid-19, we are searching for someone who can currently perform this job remotely until march of 2022 when we plan to reopen our melville, ny officeAfter march 2022, we expect the candidate to be in the melville office on some regular and aligned cadence month to month.
A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.
Role type: full-time, non-exempt
Location: remote, new york city metropolitan area
Hours: monday through friday, 8:00 a.mTo 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $45,000/year ($21.63/hour)
Responsibilities
Oversee the import process, including preparing documents and communicating with suppliers and freight forwarders.
Tracking shipments and addressing issues regarding delays/expediting bookings.
Maintain relationship with domestic shipping partners and address pick-up/delivery issues.
Maintain relationship with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
Alerting warehouse/buying of incoming containers and notifying forecasting of changing lead times.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (business or other related field preferred)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Pleasant, personable, and professional demeanor
Excellent negotiation and relationship development skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
