About the role
We are seeking an experienced communications specialist (it training support) to support an it project at the centers for disease control and prevention (cdc)This role will support a cdc division with planning, development, and implementation of communications, marketing, and support activities related to the work performed under this project.
Responsibilities
Work with client to design, develop, and implement training solutions to continuously educate client staff and stakeholders regarding client`s sharepoint policy requirements, processes, artifacts, best practices, and solutions.
Work with client to design, develop, and disseminate communications collateral related to client messaging and vision as it relates to the work performed in support of this project.
Engage client stakeholders to design and deliver tailored training and related knowledge support services to facilitate maturing the organizations understanding and use of sharepoint, microsoft 365, and internal client developed systems identified by client as appropriate for similar support.
Work with client to devise a marketing campaign to encourage understanding and help ensure client staff remain updated regarding microsoft’s continued evolution of sharepoint, microsoft 365, and client sharepoint solutions completed as deliverables under this project.
Conduct regularly scheduled training sessions to support client knowledge and training needs as it relates to the work supported under this projectWork with the contract business steward to identify and approve training topics and frequency of delivery based on bandwidth availability after taking into account other work supported as part of this project.
Requirements:
Required experience and skills
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and conducting it training to educate staff.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and disseminating communications and marketing campaigns related to training solutions offered.
Experience designing and delivering tailored training of sharepoint, microsoft 365, and other systems.
Experience providing business analyst services including requirements documentation, test script development, testing and user manual development.
Experience writing, reviewing, and editing it communication materials.
Ability to synthesize complex information and effectively communicate information in written and oral format to various audiences.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Previous cdc, hhs, or similar government agency experience preferred.
Ability to obtain government clearance.
Education and training
Bachelor`s degree in communications, english (writing/editing), instructional design, business administration or closely related field.
Master`s degree in closely related field preferred.
Physical requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMay need to lift 25 pounds regularly.
