Full job description
The successful candidate will be bilingual and fluent in spanish and reside in the houston, tx area.
Job duties & responsibilities
This position will perform a variety of administrative related duties including, but not limited to the following:
· dispatch loads to drivers and ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely manner
· trace all shipments transported by drivers
· manage the performance and time-off of all drivers in fleet
· manage all compliance issues with drivers
· must be willing to help with truck inspections
· be able to recruit new trucks in the houston area to help grow the business
· communicate with customers and drivers to coordinate shipments
Qualifications:
· bilingual communication
· a bachelor or associate degree in a business related or communication field preferredPrevious dispatch work experience in the trucking industry may be substituted for education
· one (1) year of dispatch or related experience preferred; good phone and communication skills
· must be self-motivated and self-disciplined
· basic personal computer skills required
· can build and maintain trusting relationships; trustworthy
· high figure-it-out factor; problem solving
· willing to learn
· communicator; can talk to a truck driver and an executive, building trust with each; can build trust quickly in conversation
