The tpm team is responsible for designing the systems and frameworks for the r&d team to ship featuresWe define and implement a `goldilocks` amount of process: just enough to solve a well defined problem, and no moreWe`re constantly observing and evaluating the flow of work through the system to identify and address inefficiencies.
Our day-to-day charter is to partner with the engineers across several projects and deliverable simultaneouslyWe work through dependencies to make the complex simple, we recognize when planned work is exceeding desired appetite to then determine acceptable scope adjustments, and we serve as an empathic and driving force to ship code in a systematic way.
We balance this love of execution with a solid understanding and consideration of the businessIt`s not enough to know if we can build and ship a feature, it`s crucial to understand the impact to the business and the implications of tradeoff decisions.
Tpms are the ultimate generalistsWe work with teams across the company, using a systems thinker perspective, to tackle a wide variety of problemsWe`re energized by the opportunity to move from a fuzzy idea, to concrete problem statement, to shipped solution.

In this role you will:
Use your organization, prioritization, and communication skills to work closely with partners across the entire textio team including r&d, revenue, ccg (content, communications, and growth) to build and ship products that our customers love
Move fluidly between high-level strategy considerations and nitty-gritty building details to ensure that, as a team, we`re informed, aligned, and executing
Recognize project as well as cross-company dependencies and hidden complexity in both the long-term roadmap and the immediate day-to-day work of the team
Exercise judgement to evaluate not only if a project is on time and within scope, but also recognizing when new information should trigger questions and potentially adjust the execution plan
Identify issues and remove hurdles proactively, before they disrupt the team, often before people know the problem existed

Have deep experience collaborating with teams across the company to ship products that people pay for, ideally within early to mid stage startups
Have demonstrated experience mapping ambiguous feedback into clear executable plans for r&d teams
Are committed to quality as a top priority—you pay attention to what you make and take pride in your craft
Understand what it means to be a phenomenal tpm and are excited to grow the team and mentor the people on it
Have a track record that demonstrates a love of experimenting, building, and learning new things
Have a point of view but are low ego
