SrContent writer is responsible for day-to-day writing, editing, and research assignments and managing the flow of new and existing tcg content for use in our marketing, website, social media and moreThe goal of your writing will be to inspire and inform people, playing a key role in conveying the content of our programs and events, the mission of the organization and brand messaging, and helping reach our various target audiencesThe role involves working with staff, volunteers and external audiences as part of our event planning and awareness efforts; managing and editing a regular schedule of content for our various platforms; and collaborating with the rest of the team on campaigns and eventsThis position requires managing multiple content/ projects at one timeThe ideal candidate will be creative, driven, efficient, and feel comfortable engaging with substantive topics and igniting interest in themThis job can be mostly remoteHelp us enliven our messaging and bring a bit of sizzle to policy and politics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, helpful if degree is in communications, english, creative writing, journalism, advertising, or another area of study involving writing
Experience and/or demonstrated aptitude for writing, copywriting, and editing is very helpfulPlease be prepared to provide your sample writing.
Strong knowledge of fundamental writing, editing, and copyediting principles
Great initiative, time-management and problem-solving skills.
Experience with basic business software needed -i.eWord, excel, powerpoint, and the google/gsuite equivalents.
Familiarity with website app squarespace; platforms such as facebook, twitter, linkedin; or skill with adobe photoshop or other blogging/social media platforms is a big plus.
Good business writing and research skills needed.
Helpful - demonstrated interest and/or experience in current affairs and politics.
Professional approach and appearance are a must.
Highly motivated individual with ability to work in fast, dynamic work environment
Strong interpersonal skills including an ability to listen to and interpret requests and needs
