Position overview:
The primary focus of this position is to lead projects for improving existing packaging systems and integrating new packaging systems for our clientsIn this role, you will be involved with all phases of the project execution cycle from conceptualization through executionWhile performing the primary tasks associated with this position, you will be asked to lead the following efforts:
Existing packaging systems o auditing & data analysis o solution development o documentation updating/development and management new packaging systems o scoping o estimating o scheduling o design development o installation o on-site commissioning o performance testing o documentation development and management
You must be comfortable presenting proposals/information to clients at all levelsYour proven ability and desire to successfully coach and mentor other engineers and designers is expectedTravel to other foth offices or client locations will be regularly required (25-35%).
Required qualifications:
Bs mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent technical experience
10+ years of experience with design and/or integration of food/beverage systems
Preferred qualifications:
5+ years of food and beverage industry experience
Capital project execution experience
Working in a consulting environment
Understanding of balanced line flow for packaging systems
Cad software experience
Pe registration or ability to obtain within 24 months
Preferred experience of 15+ years with packaging systems design including, but not limited to, the following systems:
Conveyor types and appropriate applications for various types of materials
Ancillary packaging equipment (bulk glue delivery systems, balers, container and case coders, etc.)
High speed packaging equipment like:
Liquid or solid filling and closure systems
Labeling systems
Inspection and rejection systems (container, case/carton, label placement, etc.)
Case erecting and packing systems
Depalletizers, palletizers, and stretch wrapping
