Compensation minimum: $43,680.00
Compensation maximum: $65,520.00
Job description and responsibilities:

Essential job responsibilities
Prospects, screens and appoints new independent agentsMaintains an agency prospect list by state and updates it at least quarterlyPeriodically reviews online sources for new prospect agents (competitor websites, online yellow & white pages, association memberships, etc.)
Performs sales calls to independent agents via telephone to maintain quality and quantity control of new business, conversions and agency managementProvides necessary training related to company products and system enhancementsProvides guidance to agents on product features and competitiveness and distinguishes the company from competitorsDiscusses issues affecting production and profitability.
Assists with developing and implementing departmental and regional agency sales initiatives and state-specific strategiesObtains competitor information and maintains a features & benefits analysis among all competitors.
Coordinates and helps support action plans with vp, regional sales manager, licensing manager and product management on a state and territory level.
Interacts with various departments to solve issues related to agents or territory.
Produces various reports related to specific territories/agents and their profitability and lossRuns other reports as requested by management.
Assist with the training of new agency sales representatives & inside agency sales representatives
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/skills requirements
Minimum of two years of property and casualty insurance experience required; non-standard auto experience preferredSolid understanding of the insurance industry needed.
Experience with microsoft office required; intermediate word & excel skills a must.
Knowledge of the company’s systems and products helpfulAlso, ability to learn product & underwriting guidelines and technology interface.
Position requires the ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and basic statistics
Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance with agency sales guidelines
Ability to use innovative thought to develop ideas, which have a positive effect on existing methods, services or products
Position requires the ability to provide oral and written communication regarding independent agent/territory issues to various departments and levels of management
Ability to travel by vehicle and occasionally by air required
Education requirements
High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
