Full job description
Remote attorney and counselor to criminal defense clients
Must be a currently licensed california attorney
We are looking for a bilingual (spanish/english) attorney who loves to be on the front end of the attorney-client relationship, someone who can help people to see themselves on the other side of one of the most difficult life experiences, and make the legal process accessible and focused on the client’s needsThe ideal candidate loves talking to people, analyzing legal issues, answering questions and offering solutionsWhile you won’t be appearing in court, you’ll need to have a background in criminal law.
This position is remote and family-friendlyFluency in spanish is requiredWork from anywhere in california.
With commissions, our attorneys in this role earn between $125,000 – 200,000 per year.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Work with prospective clients using an individual approach to their case that feels right to themExplain the process and potential consequences, analyze their unique issues and propose solutions
Prepare comprehensive counseling and assessment intake notes
Develop and deliver sales presentations to close sales in a professional and effective manner
Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.
Adhere to the firm’s protocol and commitment towards modern sales and marketing platforms (salesforce.com)
Requirements
Active california state bar membership
Desire to develop highly attuned listening and sales skills
High level of interpersonal skills and empathy to handle sensitive and confidential situations
While you will be communicating primarily in english, you need to be able to communicate with our clients who speak spanish
Knowledge of california criminal procedure
