How will you make an impact?
As part of thermo fisher scientific you will work on a team that develops software to support our digital science visionYou will create and execute test plans that ensure completeness and qualityYou will collaborate with your team to detail product features to ensure we build the right product for our customers.
What will you do?
The software test engineer (automation) is the role responsible for creating repeatable automated test cases against the application under test
The test automation engineer will work with the product owner to formulate acceptance criteria for product features in gherkin and create automated tests from these specifications.
Work with the developers to make sure that their designs are testable.
Create and run automated test cases based upon a feature’s acceptance criteria.
Create build pipelines and execute test cases to produce test results.
Log, triage and communicate defects found to the development team and product owner.
Build relationships with other development teams, product owners, and product managers.
How will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or biological sciences or related fields.
Experience:
3+ years in software testing or software development
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
Collaborative attitude.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to identify omissions and errors in requirements
Ability to identify, reproduce and describe software defects
Agile strategies and bdd (gherkin language)
Test management toolHp quality center / qtest manager / jira x-ray
Project management toolJira / azure devops.
Using and translating gherkin acceptance criteria scenarios into test scripts by implementing and using automation custom frameworks based on bdd such as cucumber.
Knowledge of oop design principlesMainly with java language with remarkable experience with cucumber, grade, maven, testng, junit.
SeleniumDeveloping automated tests of ui rest-based web services with async scenarios.
Building with jenkins.
Api testing with tools such as postman, swagger, restassure
