How will you make an impact?
In this role, you will enable thermo fisher scientific’s life sciences businesses to achieve commercial success by supporting the development and management of impactful tools, communication mechanisms, processes and networks for product development.
What will you do?
As part of the product development excellence (pdx) team, you will create effective communication strategies, build relationships and support various communities, tools and programs, including product-development training, process improvements and other global initiativesCross-functional collaboration will be essential to ensure that product development teams are equipped with the necessary tools and information for achieving both technical and commercial success.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Create and implement effective communication strategies and tools for the pdx team
Create campaign-style communications in support of pdx team strategies in multiple media avenues (email memos, newsletters, yammer, blogs, etc.) for distribution to stakeholders and product development teams
Build and maintain the pdx team internal web/sharepoint sites
Support the day-to-day execution of operational processes, including creating and maintaining procedures and their associated templates
Support training, complex initiatives and improvements to the product commercialization process (pcp) as well as other pdx resources
Partner with stakeholders to manage cross-functional projects of modest complexity and scope
Build long-term relationships with influencers across the company
Critical skill set:
Considers multiple perspectives in decisions and seeks input from diverse stakeholders
Has strong organizational & communication skills (written and verbal), combined with attention to detail
Is an enthusiastic communicator, comfortable with making formal & informal presentations, as well as managing documentation
Able to support projects of modest scope with a strong sense of urgency, operating in a team environment
Collaborates well with others and builds effective business relationships with different personalities, understanding their motivations
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years’ experience in research, new product development or manufacturing
Has a basic understanding of product development processes
Fluent in the use of microsoft excel, powerpoint, and word
At least 2 years’ experience with sharepoint or other web-based collaboration tools.
Experience in creation of dynamic content (e.gTraining videos) using platforms such as brainshark or similar is a plus.
Experience with power bi is a plus.
