We have a strong engineering culture, focused on steady, correct delivery, not on flash-in-the-pan hacksAs one of our engineers, you will take direct ownership of a part of our system that ties directly into our platform offering and end-user product.
You should have hard won experience working with spas and know the many pit-falls to avoidYou should have a fondness for best-in-class tools like vite, but a reasonable hesitation about the `hot new thing`You have experience working with a shared codebase (i.ePlaying nicely with others)You are unfazed by sprawling requirements because you know you can whittle them down to the core elements quicklyYou`ve worked in a product focused environment, and can help product owners find appropriate and elegant solutions to our challengesYou love white-boarding.
This role is open to senior engineers and above, staff / principal variants exist for the right candidates.

Who you are (some or all of the below):
An experienced software engineer who can comfortably switch between all the modern languages of web development
An _excellent_ communicator who delights in writing technical documents and knows in their heart of hearts that they’re probably more valuable than the software itself
Embarrassed at test code coverage results less than 100% but willing to accept that the pareto principle still applies
The sort to learn a new programming language about once a year just to see how it feels
Fond of reading api documentation for new products and imagining what you can build with them
Up to date with modern js/ts best practices
What you have/know:
Five or more years of professional software engineering experience
Dashing, elegant and graceful expertise in the tools of our trade (i.eGit, docker, postman, storybook, ides, etc.)
The ability to name six different http methods faster than you can google them, and talk about a time they didn’t do what they were supposed to
An insightful explanation for the difference between computer science and software engineering
Several years of typescript experience
How to build and maintain a unit test suite
Experience with authentication flows (e.gSso)
How to build simple and effective user experiences without undue boilerplate
Experience querying graphql is a plus
How you`ll contribute (any or all of the below):
Build our premiere user experience involving video streaming, authentication, and collaboration features
Build simple, clean and effective spas that act as the show case for our api platform
Work closely with designers to produce beautiful experiences
Work closely with our product and design teams to flesh out the minimal possible version of a feature, and iterate so fast their heads spin
Build internal tools to help our account executives delight our customers
Take part in peer reviews, collaborative design sessions, production issue troubleshooting, business requirement gathering and other organisational processes
