As a full-time lead informatica application engineer you will be asked to lead and direct technical solution implementations and provide thought leadership to projects and support for solutions that deliver business value across thriventYou will work in a team environment and will be responsible to provide it hardware and software plans and develop implementation roadmapsThis position will ensure compliance of application and technical infrastructure development with company and industry standards, influence future systems engineering, assess emerging technologies for application to thrivent’s initiatives, and provides technical expertise for next generation initiativesYou will be responsible for software and hardware for various applications such as: informatica (on prem and cloud solutions), business objects, sas, powerbi, erstudio, and other applications used and throughout thriventSpecific responsibilities may include software installs, patches, upgrades, configurations, integrations or feeds to other systems, tuning, etcWe are looking for your systems engineering expertise to help with projects and be on call about every third or fourth week.

Job duties and responsibilities
Lead and direct technical solution implementations, along with providing thought leadership.
Direct and lead the design and integration for technical implementations.
Acts as the subject matter expert for the pc, server, virtual, storage and collaboration systems.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced associates.
Leverages experience to drive standards in thrivent’s environments
Provide on call support
Leads foundational /platform based features/initiatives
Expertise within pc, server, os, storage systems and deep knowledge of network.
Very high competency in security principals
Deep knowledge of patching and automation
Job qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mis, computer science or related field
5+ years of experience in technology related field including prior lead experience
Advanced in-depth knowledge of systems design, architecting and implementing large retail business systems
Advanced in-depth knowledge of security principals
Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills
Windows and linux
