The software developer supports, in an independent manner, the technical designing, development, implementing and governance of technology solutions that deliver business value across the organization while continuously improving time to market for our it enterprise customer solutions team.
Job description
The software developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, building, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, and maintaining new or existing applications and software on distributed and/or mainframe systemsThey review and analyze user needs and design proposed system solutions based on requirementsThey participate in the development and testing of these solutions and ensure adherence to defined timelinesThey evaluate and configure systems and peripherals for performance and serviceability, reliability, and availabilityThey recommend enhancements, upgrades and/or changes to the system configuration to maintain optimum system performance and utilityThe software developer documents all aspects of an application or system to include network diagrams/flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and revision datesThey collaborate with other it and business professionals and deliver high quality results.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Works on most phases of application development independently, but works under the direction of a more senior team member or manager
Checks scope of responsibilities for self on organization efforts
Successfully delivers the right results on initiatives in a timely and effective manner
Monitors day to day applications activities/tasks and takes corrective action when needed
Ensures data quality under the guidance of a more senior team member or manager
Works with vendor technical staff on upgrades and enhancements
Looks for opportunities to drive improvements
Develops current business solutions independently
Develops and maintains program documentation independently
Assists in the functionality used by software applications, including change management, security and authentication, disaster recovery planning, support for data access, system configurations and reports
Serves as a resource to deployment and support teams after launch
Makes and keeps commitments to achieve desired priorities
Checks assumptions and clarifies technical standards
Required experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mis, mathematics, or related field
1+ years of applicable experience
Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Preferred experience:
3+ years of related development experience
J ava design and development experience
Openshift experience
Sql server
Camunda
Api
