Job purpose
The recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting by partnering with hiring managers to attract and select key talent for our organizationThis person should be a natural talent hunter exhibiting high energy and professionalism with experience and knowledge of the mortgage industryThe recruiter will excel at creating sourcing plans and managing a high volume of pipeline candidatesThis person will work relentlessly to deliver a high value of service to the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss hiring needs
Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, maintaining rapport
Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications
Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges etc.
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements
Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications
Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging tours.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Assists in developing tools or strategies to improve the quality of hires and to increase retention of new employees
Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to management team
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the mortgage industry
Comfort speaking in front of groups and working with all levels of an organization
Demonstrate effective communication skills consisting of oral, written and listening skills
Collaborative decision-making, relationship building and problem-solving skills
Must demonstrate ability to lead by example and work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal direction
Builds the confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing style
Demonstrate organizational skills and time management abilities
Ability to draft correspondence and respond to applicant inquiries effectively and independently
