Position details
Director of applications support is a new position for tilson that has been created to drive application implementation and supportThe director should have the drive to support operations and accounting in a fast paced and exciting environment.
The position will be empowered to drive the leadership, management, and support of all enterprise applications which includes supporting both end users while being responsible for designing and implementing policies, procedures and guiding integrations working with stakeholders to ensure all systems and people using them are working efficientlyThis position will report to the chief information officer.
Responsibilities
Validate, analyze, troubleshoot, and route technology issues and see them through to resolution.
Support and maintain internal applications by becoming technically familiar with those being utilized.
Work with operations, pmo, and it development teams to resolve issues and find solutions.
Builds relationships with our customer-facing teams, and maintains knowledge of their support operations and practices.
Perform ongoing application monitoring and analysis, striving for improved availability and system performance.
Facilitate the root cause analysis (rca) process to identify issues and communicate appropriately to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate major incidents by validating, troubleshooting, contacting technical teams, and sending out communication.
Coordinate communication with customers and customer-facing teams during planned incidents (i.eScheduled downtime for maintenance)
Collaborate with software development by presenting recommendations for improvement based on insight gained through on-going involvement and support efforts.
Facilitate the root cause analysis (rca) process to identify issues and communicate appropriately to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies that directly affect enterprise processesMaintain awareness of overall enterprise architecture.
Identify and mitigate risks to the availability of applications and proactively address and resolve issues before they impact service levels.
Qualifications
Deep knowledge of construction and/or enterprise project and erp systems.
Deep knowledge of end-to-end accounting and operations functions within the construction vertical including mastery of construction accounting in relation to wip, billing and unit cost management.
Have deployed and supported erp systems in companies with more than 500 people.
Has a deep knowledge of aec payroll systems and data, plus for a history of integrations of payroll and construction systems.
Minimum 5 years in a lead business analysis or project management in a construction or project-related company, in their information technology function.
Team leadership and coaching experience
Understanding of and itil and/or other development project standards frameworks
Demonstrated ability for 10 plus years of working support services for applications in the aec community with emphasis on financial operations support.
Ability to train and translate complex systems and problems.
Degree in accounting or finance highly desirable
