Tista science and technology corporation is currently supporting the centers for medicare and medicaid in big data implementation as part of the medicaid and chip business information systems (macbis) projectsWe are currently looking for highly experienced big data test engineer.
Candidate should have a passion for testing high-performance `big data` systemsIn the role, the candidate would be working with an application stack that tests open-source and commercial software including apache kafka, hadoop, hive, using python and sql and all currently implemented in awsCandidates will at least have experience working in aws and be familiar with the technologies we are using.
Responsibilities:
Hands on experience with 508 accessibility compliance testing using jaws and other tools.
Hands-on experience building selenium automation frameworks using python/java.
Hands-on working experience writing sql queries using joins, aggregate, analytical function etc.
Experience in designing, executing, and maintaining automated functional test cases and other test artifacts, including test data and data verification.
Execute and evaluate manual and automated test cases and report test results.
Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
Qualifications:
Excellent skills in 508 testing using jaws
Excellent skills in python/java and sql
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor other test engineers
Strong sense of ownership and track record of quality work
Can-do attitude and get things done on time and on budget
Exercise good judgment about which tools to use and when to use them
Good written and oral communication skills
Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team.
Education/certification:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or it related field
Clearance requirements:
Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance
