Trader interactive is hiring a ui software engineer ii.
The ui software engineer ii is responsible for gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components.
Primary responsibilities:
Create website layout/user interface components by using standard html/css & javascript practices.
Collaborate with product management teams, internal departments, and software engineers
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Develop ui mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Basic qualifications:
Ability to articulate interactive concepts using figma, adobe apps, and/or with html/js/css
Experience with ui design best practices and methodology, preferably in a web technology
Aptitude for creating ux/ui mockups that illustrate how software should look and work, from the end user’s perspective
Ability to execute projects from initial design to support of the engineering effort, including specification and asset production
Ability to manage simultaneous projects in possibly wildly different domains
Familiarity with jira project management and git source control
Excellent communication skills (in conversation, writing, and presentation)
Interactive, graphic design or related education and/or experience
Deep understanding of interactive design concepts and their application
Knowledge of how layout, typography, and iconography make or break the usability of software screens
Experience participating in qualitative research, including contextual inquiry, and individual and group interviews
Experience with quantitative research methods
Expert proficiency using adobe illustrator, figma, or a similar current platform for screen design
Preferred qualifications:
Strong understanding of react.js
Strong understanding of javascript
