What you’ll do
The role: using kafka as a message broker, building the next generation of blockchain using golang
Elegantly bring designs to life by using cutting edge technologies and techniques
Lead client-facing projects in small teams
Take ownership of the quality and usability of your code
Be a team player in a highly collaborative environment
Work 9am to 5pm est, frequently pair programming
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing and developing on kafka platforms.
Senior-level technical knowledge of apache/confluent kafka, big data technologies
Kafka platform, ie: kafka connect, ksql db, and confluent cloud
Strong experience in a programming language such as go, rust, javascript
Familiarity with docker and kubernetes
Experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Strong skills with in-memory applications, database design, data integration.
In-depth knowledge of database structures/ data warehousing principles, and experience in sql across different platforms including structured and unstructured data from various enterprise sources.
Extensive hands-on experience implementing and tuning confluent kafka and related services.
Extensive knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores and experience with building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
Experience in end-to-end data engineering solutions.
Show a strong sense of ownership for their deliverables.
Initiative and passion for finding solutions to ambiguous problems and ability to work in difficult situations and across organizational boundaries.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to communicate or convey the results to audience at all levels.
Familiar with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and applicability
6+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering lead, or similar role.
