About the job:
Work in a focused and nimble team that collaborates on common problems across all products and areas of focus and helps to ensure quality is an integral part of the development process
Contribute to the architecture of our automation platform for our web interfaces, api, and mobile platforms.
Create and maintain suite(s) of automated tests from planning to implementation for web, api, and data processes
Produce documentation for automated features and cross train with other engineers
Mentor team members in building higher technical skill sets
Participate in technical design and/or architectural discussions for new features
Effectively uses available monitoring tools.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive and creative feedback to help improve overall code quality.
What you’ll need:
Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented or scripting programming language such as java, javascript, python or ruby.
Experience with designing and building automation framework
Proficiency in working with at least one open source automation tools such as cypress, selenium webdriver or watir, testng.
Designing and creating robust automated test scripts to address business & technical use cases and writes maintainable code.
Experience with testing in ci/cd environment and familiarity with pipeline integration.
Constant collaboration with software engineers and product managers to ensure proper testing coverage.
Experience working in agile development process (scrum, kanban, scrumban)
Experience with github, jira, confluence, slack.
Consistently follows best practices, able to defend technical decisions in code review feedback.
Highly motivated self-learner.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple demands and short deadlines; experience in resolving conflicts and dealing with shifting priorities
Nice to have:
Deep understanding of restful api design, graphql is a plus.
Experience working with databases such as postgres.
