Description: job summary: the senior gp developer is responsible for all aspects of application planning, execution and support including administration, maintenance, configuring and updating the system, integration, disaster recovery, change control, providing technical support, implementing new functionality, process improvement, application standards and best practicesServes business process expert supporting all aspects of the financial systems.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Support existing client base in the areas of microsoft dynamics gp.
Oversees design, development and implementation of business software applications and services.
Analyze complex business problems assessing how to automate systems and implement solutions.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into erp solutions
Performing functional configuration and maintenance for erp systems based on changing operational and business needs
Creating documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows and user guides.
Researching transactional issues, identifying root causes and driving solutions.
Support and development of database and business applications including microsoft sql server, crystal reports, dynamics gp core plus mfg, smartconnect, smartlist builder, extender, management reporter, ssrs dashboard, and power bi.
Requirements:
Bachelor’ degree in accounting, computer science or related fields and/or equivalent education, experience and training in lieu of degree.
Basic accounting understanding of general ledger, sales order processing, purchase order processing, inventory & bill of material, some project accounting.
Experience working with dynamics gp general ledger, sales order processing, purchasing order, inventory.
Microsoft technologies: ms sql server with transact sql, dynamics gp table structure.
Technical competency in econnect, dexterity, visual studio, .net development, sql – custom tables/views, stored procedures, triggers, and indesxing
Proven communication skills: oral and written.
Ability to exercise independent judgement required in setting priorities of tasks among multiple assigned projects.
Ability to effectively and promptly respond to software problem calls remotely.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to investigate error messages and determine resolution.
Ability to train users in startup, basic and advanced use of microsoft dynamics gp which may include group training as required (in-person or remote).
Familiarity with scribe insight and supporting adapters.
Other desired skills:
Master’s degree in computer science, accounting, or related field
Microsoft dynamics gp certification
Microsoft certification (mcdba, mcse)
