Job description
Participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned project(s) including hr advisory services process developmentAssigned projects may be general or systems related in natureInterfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs.
They will be a trusted advisor by providing consultation on creation of hras processes and continuous improvement efforts in the areas investigations, performance improvement, policy interpretation, and any other employment related matters.
Responsibilities:
Directs and monitors project activity and process development for hr advisory services.
Reviews case information and leads development of employee relations training & resources for both hr and business line managers and employees.
- participates in meeting and task force activities to identify project goals, gains consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures and estimates project costs; fosters cooperation and involvement from support team- interviews users to identify and analyze needs; develops a project plan and provides input to recommendations for request and/or problem resolution- identifies internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion.
- prepares project status reports; makes alterations in project plan as neededAssists with or prepares project implementation steps and documentation as appropriate; ensures a smooth implementation of project; resolves problems- support consistent policy interpretation and application of hr policies- participates in training users as applicable.
Participates in project evaluation against estimated plans and costs; provides continuing support and service as required.
Manages performance of project team and evaluates overall performance.
Basic qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in business administration, human resources management, industrial relations, psychology or related degree, or equivalent work experience
Nine or more years of experience in employee relations or as an hr generalist, or equivalent experience
Preferred skills/experience
Project management experience
Project software skills (ms project or similar)
Experience with providing coaching and resolving performance management through formalized performance improvement planning and use of data driven decision making
Experience in handling workplace investigations and recommending disposition or corrective actions associated with findings
Previous experience working in hr operations or hr service center preferred
Ability to work independently and to identify when to engage others
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to maintain confidential information
