Positions in this function research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs dataProvides management with statistical findings and conclusionsIdentifies potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategiesProvides data in support of actuarial, financial and utilization analyses.

Primary responsibilities:
Internal-facing, primarily focused on providing data analytic support for health engagement and health analytic deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Running standard and occasional custom reports, and some analyzing of data related to telling our value story, member behavior, health engagement, clinical patterns, diagnosis chapters, drivers, etc.
Identifying specific cost drivers and analyzing utilization patterns
Tracking production to support internal value story
Support departmental projects with both internal and external impact
Analyzes and investigates
Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Required qualifications:
High school diploma/ged
1+ years of experience with data reporting, finance, underwriting, or data analysis; college internships will be considered as experience
Intermediate or higher skills within office 365 applications, particularly excel and powerpoint
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in business intelligence apps, such as power bi or tableau
Experience in microsoft power apps; basic app development
Work experience in the health insurance or insurance consulting industries
Attention to detail to identify areas where additional drill down or analysis may be required, either by themselves or by others
Clear and concise written & verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt to quickly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
