This role will be accountable for supporting and providing analysis for the optum technology annual service recosting processThe financial scope for this process is over $3b in annual intersegment revenue for otThis role will also be key in the ot it financial management practice and the itfm hub workThis work involves insourcing an itfm tool and will involve design, build, test, deploy and operate this key toolThis tool insourcing will help ot reduce saas subscription costs by $3.5m annually.

Primary responsibilities:
Support and help drive annual optum technology it service recosting (rate setting) process
Support and execute itfm hub key initiative - design, build, test, deploy and operate key tool
Robust modeling of ot it services, options and value proposition to stakeholders; end-to-end ownership of detailed financial model, including financial due diligence to validate assumptions, identify opportunities, and quantify risks
Effectively partnering with cross-functional teams that may include it service, ot finance and segment leadership
Analyze it service economics, risks, opportunities, and recommendations clearly and concisely to ot service teams, ot finance and uhg business and finance stakeholders
Financial support in it service and segment consumer relationships to effectively establish win-win scenarios that maximize financial benefit and mitigate both operational and financial cost/risk
Benchmark it service delivery, rate competitiveness and cost structure against key external competitors
Broader support for other operational and strategic initiatives
Key support in developing our next generation itfm capability
Perform gap analysis on service data feeds using pre-defined control best practices and identify gaps / propose recommended controls
Aid in the resolution of production issues related to it service billing operations-mpwr, adjustments, overrides, etc
Create and own various requirements & development artifacts as needed - policy & procedure documents, user stories, user manual, business workflows, screen mockups/prototypes and present the findings / recommendations to application teams / customers
Gather and prepare analysis based on information from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency
Research new solutions, suggest business improvements

Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, it or finance
8+ years of strategic and financial analysis experience with significant financial modeling (excel) and analytic experience
Revenue, margin, and profitability analyses including it service/customer profitability
Proficiency using excel and powerpoint to concisely communicate ideas
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of us healthcare domain
High level solutions architecture background
Work with offshore teams in india in various time zones
Familiarity with agile development concepts
Acute focus on innovation and providing solutions
Good communication skills and the ability to liaison between business and technical teams
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Natural curiosity to learn more, dig into details, understand key drivers of our business
Proven ability to excel in a matrixed organization and lead through informal leadership
Sound written and oral communication skills required; must be able to interact with all levels within an organization
Ability to work collaboratively in global project with a positive team spirit and ensure teamwork and coordination

Ability to use proper discretion when dealing with confidential information exhibiting a high level of integrity
Ability to manage and synthesize large amounts of data
