This position is full-time (40 hours/week) monday - fridayEmployees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pmIt may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary responsibilities:
Assist with the design, coding, testing/debugging, and maintenance of applications.
Offer suggestions for process and application improvements and efficiencies.
Assist with the evaluation of new tools, new techniques, strategies, and automation of common tasks.
Perform necessary testing and validation to produce high-quality application code
Effectively manage any technology related costs or chargebacks, always looking for a positive cost/benefit.
Translates complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
This is a software engineer position that will require you to focus on design, coding, testing/debugging and maintenance of main applications.

Required qualifications:
High school diploma / ged (or higher)
2+ years of work experience with programming/coding skills (c#, javascript, or python)Work experience must not include school courses
1+ years of sql experience
Preferred qualifications:
1+ years of experience with cosmos claims processing and/or claims adjustment skills
Server and database oversight or administrator skills
Experience with version-control systems (github, subversion)
Node.js framework experience
Soft skills:
Experience facilitating meetings and leading groups
Proficient in managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Possesses solid verbal and written communication skills
Will receive direction and guidance from more skilled team members to continuously develop coding/programming skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Telecommuting requirements:
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a unitedhealth group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
