Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic methodThe roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

Primary responsibilities:
Management of multiple software engineering teams
Leading engineering design
Development teams across multiple cross-functional domains
Leadership of product user interaction
Experience design and implementation
Product development scope for the role includes
Core system application design
Companion applications
End-to-end qa responsibility
User trial program management
Delivery of a complex product at a very high quality bar in a fast paced environment
Working closely with product management
Design to define strategy and requirements
Leading development teams from concept through delivery and subsequent operation
Involves regular communication with senior management on technical development, product strategy, status, and risks
Excellent listening, writing skills and very strong technical competency are essential

Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in computer science (or related discipline)
10+ years of experience building and managing development teams that design and deliver large distributed systems – preferably in agile development, object-oriented systems realm with high availability
3+ years people management experience building strong teams and managing managers
Solid system design and architecture experience
Solid knowledge of programming (including objective c, c++, java, messaging protocols, and web services) and build processes
Experience in internet and mobile platforms - web based technology and mobile development (ios/android)
Exceptional project planning/execution skills including estimating, scheduling, and executing on committed schedules
Demonstrated experience in building, delivering and operating products and services in a consumer-centric space
Preferred qualifications:
Masters or doctorate degree preferably in computer science (or related discipline)
7+ years of experience as a software developer in ood and object oriented languages
Track record of delivering high quality products in healthcare space
Experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision
Solid verbal/written communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
