The team
Our it team manages support, projects, and initiatives for technology at upstart.
As a salesforce senior developer, you will drive our salesforce team forward and will contribute to our development in this fieldYou will have a very good understanding and experience in software engineering conceptsYou will be responsible for working on full lifecycle engineering efforts using agile methodologies, object-oriented design, and accepted design patterns and practicesAs upstart continues to grow, so will salesforce and you’ll have the power to make your own decisions about the strategy and direction of our sfdc instances and show significant impact to upstart as a wholeYou’ll build meaningful relationships and partnerships with all business units to conceive and design innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Position location - this role is available in the following locations: remote, san mateo, columbus
Time zone requirements - this team operates on the east/west coast time zones.
Travel requirements - this team has regular on-site collaboration sessionsThese occur 3 days per month at our san mateo, ca or columbus, oh officesIf you need to travel to make these meetups, upstart will cover all travel related expenses.
How you’ll make an impact:
Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
Effectively act as the liaison between our end users, vendors, and the development teams.
Drive your own projects from requirement gathering to execution.
Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
Document all implementation processes and procedures as well as ‘how-to’ documentation for the business.
Enable the business with proper training to maintain their own views and workflows.
Quickly respond, provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance
Thrive in an agile environment and be adaptable to work changes that can shift quickly.
Go above and beyond to represent and help in all aspects of it if needed.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum requirements:
5+ years of experience working on salesforce platforms .
Experience working with sales/service cloud and lightning framework.
Active sfdc development certifications (salesforce certified administrator, salesforce certified platform developer, salesforce certified advanced administrator)
Salesforce development skills including apex, lwc, rest, apis, soql, javascript, css and html.
Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, and custom views.
Excellent understanding of salesforce best practices around roles and profiles in regards to system access.
Experience working with third party applications that integrate with salesforce
Experience with any ci/cd tool.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, peers, and other business groups.
Proficient understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with marketing cloud or exacttarget.
Experience creating lightning apps using all lightning development components
