An established urgent care center looking for medical technologist to work full time in lab located in amarillo, txWe are looking for a positive person who is interested in being a success with excellent skills.
Job description
Responsible for processing of specimen; test performance and reporting test resultsFollowing laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test resultsMaintaining records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimensAdhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performedFollow the laboratory’s established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performanceBe capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant, or directorRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms other duties as required.
Minimal qualification requirement:
Texas license as a (mlt) medical laboratory technologistMust have phlebotomy experienceDemonstrated proficiency in computer skills and experience with a laboratory information system.
