This anaplan developer position provides a unique opportunity to grow your career by expanding your anaplan expertiseYou will have opportunities to participate in collaborative efforts across it engineering to support our global sales objectivesThis position will be involved in the development of solutions to solve complex sales planning and productivity processes for global sales, as well as helping the application development team build innovative and well-designed applications using the anaplan platform.
Success in the role - what are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
We are looking for candidates who can support our engineering team to help them build solutions that will be adapted and evolved for our anaplan platform by our global sales business customersThis will involve working closely with our product management teams to understand planning and productivity requests, enhancements and change requestsWill then need to take development considerations to implement solutions for the enablement of consumption of data across the ecosystem like territory management, quota planning and account segmentation.
Within the first 30 days, get to know your team members and fellow engineering colleagues, and develop a high-level understanding of the teams technical domain, scope and responsibilities and the work currently in process to support our application development streams
Within the first 90 days, understand the sales planning and productivity anaplan roadmaps and key initiatives to understand the business use cases and requirementsThis will also include meeting and building relationships with our product management teams to begin building sprint sizing and planning.
Within the first 120 days, begin taking on challenging and exciting development user stories to build out the sales planning roadmap enhancementsThis will involve working with other anaplan developers, local and global, and architects to understand anaplan internal and external dependencies and pain points.
The work - what type of work will you be doing? what assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Candidates will be expected to perform several duties to support their fellow anaplan application development team members and provide expertise back to help solve complex data issuesBelow is a list of core responsibilities that will be expected from our candidates to help challenge them:
Understand business processes and related requirements to develop and implement solutions to enable data consumption
Develop data models to establish creditability of the anaplan platform for flexibility of future considerations
Develop effectivity & efficiently to cover enhancements and requirements into detailed models with associated modules, lists/line items and calculations
Demonstrate strong solutioning skills and best practices resulting in robust, future ready, scalable anaplan solutions
Collaborate with anaplan engineering team and data analysts throughout the development and implementation process
Must be able to work with a global engineering development team across multiple time zones – us and india locations

The anaplan developer role will report directly to the srManager for gca sales engineering within the go-to-market, customer and analytics (gca) engineering organizationThe anaplan engineering team is currently constructed of a balance of us and india based anaplan developers and supplemental staff (anaplan contractors)The core business team consists of `centers of excellence` (coe`s) that support our territory management, quota planning and account segmentation business streams with directors, managers, analyst and shared servicesCollaboration with these core business teams, and your peer engineering team will be core to your work in helping to make key decisions for advancing our anaplan platform.
