Analyst relations and market insights is a corporate strategy discipline in which corporations interact with industry analysts/research analysts who work for independent research and consulting firms such as gartner, idc, forester, etcThe goal is to help educate industry analysts on vmware solutions, and together help shape the it market.
Vmware offers the analyst relations, market insights and market intelligence co-op an opportunity to be part of an exciting and strategic teamAs a co-op within the communications team, you will focus on maximizing the value of our influencer relationships through our spokespeople, customers, and metricsYou may support multiple organizations within communications and will receive a well-rounded, global communications experience.
Success in the role: what are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Develop and design a peer-to-peer customer relationship program identifying and grooming customers for positive input in gartner peer insights and other 3rd party peer review sites.
Work cross-functionally with ar, business groups and customer reference teams to identify, nurture, target, and engage customers
Grow our footprint and achieve top 5 position in core and emerging market categories we participate in.

Depending on the critical priorities relevant at the time and your skills and interests, your role could include the following skills and activities:
Leverage project management skills to develop and manage a peer-to-peer customer reference program that contributes to case studies, references, and use cases leveraged by marketing and sales.
Promote the peer-to-peer program internally and externally with customers.
Develop new ways to attract and champion customer success stories to build the customer reference pipeline.
Utilize a collaborative mindset when working across teams with a diverse set of stakeholders
Generate ideas and strategy input for industry analyst days and other events throughout the year.
