What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
We are looking for an experienced it senior auditor to join our team as an it sox senior auditorAs vmware grows, it is critical the company meets its regulatory financial reporting requirements including compliance with it sox controlsThis role will perform testing of it general controls, automated controls, and key reports and evaluate effectiveness of these areas, and supervising members of the team.
Success in the role: what are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Design and execution of the it sox auditThe key focus areas will be testing of it general controls, automated controls, segregation of duties, and key reports.
Work closely with key stakeholders including it stakeholders, the finance team, sox pmo business, and compliance to understand it and business reporting requirements.
Assist in designing and executing risk-based audit programs, operational process reviews and review of system implementations across vmware.
Develop value-added recommendations to improve internal it controls and operating efficiency.
Assist in determining technical and business impact of identified security and control issues and provide remediation guidance.
Perform and lead internal resources and third-party auditors to conduct compliance and it sox audits.
What type of work will you be doing? what assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
You will play an integral role in the it audit process: from planning, execution fieldwork and reportingYou are comfortable performing various aspects of it sox testing including it general controls, automated controls, and key reports and reporting the results to stakeholders including managementYou will lead and supervise our internal team resources and third party auditors to conduct compliance and it sox audits.
