This is a great opportunity to become the manager of the vmware`s global sox program management office (sox pmo) with the chance to inspire and collaborate with cross multiple functions within operations, it, and financeThis is a high visibility role at a $12 billion publicly traded companyThis manager position will partner closely with business leaders to support vmware’s organic and m&a growth with the appropriate internal controls.
What primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
The role will strategize on scaling the organization and building processes to enable compliance with the company’s sarbanes-oxley (sox) compliance objectivesYou will be responsible for the management of the company’s sox 404 process including audit planning and scoping, design assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of key internal controls, and management reportingYou will regularly interact with cross-functional partners and various levels of management to ensure objectives are effectively achieved and compliance with sox requirements are met.

Leveraging your internal controls expertise, you will provide leadership and guidance on design of controls over financial reporting, assessing operating effectiveness of controls, and overseeing management testing.
In the event of changes attributable to an acquisition, changes in the business or control deviations, you and other members of the sox team will partner with the respective team to ensure the appropriate controls are designed, developed, and implemented to be effective.
In this highly visible role, you will liaise with vmware’s internal and external auditors regarding sox matters and management of the sox program.
You will also assist and/or lead regular updates to executive management on the scope, plan, and progress of the annual sox plan.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in select cross-functional projects that leverage your expertise and provide growth opportunities.
