Required skills:
Programming: python, golang, shell
Os platforms: linux / unix
Scm/version control tools : git
Ci tools: jenkins/hudson, bamboo, u deploy, x deploy, anthill pro
Virtualization: vmware, vcenter, kvm, openstack
At least 4 years of experience in python based framework development
Proficient in oops concepts, data structures, algorithms , advanced programming concepts like design patterns, multi threading, multi processing
Hands on experience in cloud native infrastructure solutions
Hands on experience in virtualization stack`s - pyvmomi , libvirt
Hands on experience in ci cd tools like jenkins , bamboo etc
Hands on experience with container-based deployments using docker, working with docker images, docker hub and docker-registries and kubernetes
Good knowledge in linux and shell scripting
Experience in at-least 1 public cloud platforms - aws/azure/gcp
Experience in infrastructure as a service like terraform
Basic understanding of networking concepts
Preferred skills:
Experience in open source test frameworks like pytest, robot
Familiar with advanced networking concepts
Experience in working scale and system infrastructure
Hands on experience with django, flask or other python frameworks, packaging in python
Job role and responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable test infrastructure solution using python and python based frameworks
Involve in design discussions with software development team and quality assurance team to understand the use cases of a feature
Write high quality, well-designed and maintainable code.
Adhere to vmware internal processes during the whole development cycle – idea, requirements, specifications, designs, implementation, bug fixing, qa, support, etc.
