Success in the role: what are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Within 30 days of employment, you will become competent with vmware sase platform features and benefits, product positioning and high level competitiveYou will work closely with the product marketing team members, product management, sales, and executive leadership to create messaging, presentations, and collateral for internal and external audiences.
Within 90 days of employment, you will assist with go to market and enablement, and present product information on behalf of the business unit.
Within 180 days, you will present at major customer and partner events such as vmlive and vmworldYou will understand and articulate broader technology trends and directions, developed relationships with customers, while demonstrates expertise in listening to the customer and understanding customer needs.
Within 360 days, you will be spending time in the market to understand customer and partner problems, building and maintaining a dialogue with internal functional teams, and work with a larger team to find innovative solutions leveraging the vmware cross product portfolio.
You will define compelling messaging on an entire product area, aligned to broader company offerings, towards a broader, compelling story, and become a subject matter expert, having broad expertise in one or more areas of specialization.

Translate product capabilities into simple, compelling messages that resonate with customers and build awareness
Author compelling, high-quality content both at a business and technical level including presentations, blogs, videos, datasheets, solution briefs, demos, and training materials.
Partner with the broader marketing team to amplify vmware sase message, increase product adoption and engagement, and provide customer education
Collaborate on and assist with sales enablement activities with vmware sellers and partners
Evangelize vmware sase in customer engagements and at internal and external events.

The hiring manager in this role is chris le, senior manager of sase product marketingChris has been with vmware sase product marketing team for about two years, and prior to that, he spent over 20 years in the routing, switching and security space.

Where is this role located?
This team is based out of vmware’s palo alto, caOfficeHowever, this role is open to fully remote and can be done anywhere in north americaIf you live in the surrounding areas, you will have the option to work from the office partly or fully if you wish to do so.
