Senior software development engineer in test (sdet) - windows endpoint

Our vmware+carbon black team is looking for quality focused sdets with experience in windows development, automation, and computer securityIdeal candidates will have general experience with visual studio, the wdk and windbg, writing automation in python and c/c++ as well as a passion for exercising all code paths to ensure our products behave the way they were intended toIf you love computer security, testing, and digging into complex engineering challenges, then we want you on our team!
What you`ll bring
Bs degree or higher in computer engineering, computer science, or similar
7+ years of experience as a software engineer or sdet with an emphasis on object-oriented c++ development and automation.
Experience and passion to develop high quality code – writing unit, functional, and system tests for verification and validation of product code.
A passion for quality and finding bugsYou will be writing test automation either in c++ or python or both.
A team-first attitudeWe’re a team where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts
Knowledge of c++ is required.
Knowledge of writing automation in scripting languages such as python is required.
Ability to contribute in all areas of the software development process, including software design, new-feature development, test planning, testing, automation, debugging/problem diagnosis, and quality.
Passion for building high-quality products, experience with test planning, test-driven development, and a “test-first” mentality.
Fluency in approaches to security, concurrency, debugging, performance, scalability, supportability and quality.
Strong demonstrable track record of technical curiosity and technical flexibility/agility.
Strong leadership skills
What you`ll do
Leverage c++/python programming and automation experience to drive quality on the windows endpoint
Plan, design, develop, document and test multiple features through the complete software development lifecycle
Continuously improve customer experience, quality, performance, and stability of the existing products
Participate in agile development processes and become a true team citizen.
Bonus points for:
Experience with agile, docker, git, jenkins, continuous integration, tdd, bullseye
Experience with distributed enterprise level applications (client/server)
Experience with network security, and general familiarity with software security concepts, challenges, and paradigms a strong plus
