The vmware on vmware (vov) program is a great place to stretch your marketing, program management and vmware technology skills as you will be using all of these to promote the vov program to a wide swath of stakeholders in r&d, field sales, marketing and within the it organizationEvery day will be different and you’ll get to build a team that helps vmware accelerate revenue.
Success in the role: what are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Success in this role is to increase the marketing of this program to stakeholders in r&d and field but also to create domain knowledge (networking, cloud, security, workspace and it thought leadership) that can be valuable information in the vmware product design and selling approachYou will facilitate the process of being “customer zero” for vmware products to ensure these lessons are known by the product teams as well as being a customer #1 reference for our field teams to leverage our knowledge of deploying vmware products at scaleSome things on your plate will be to create a team of domain knowledge experts to promote vmware’s it’s knowledge, create an operations effort to report back “how easy is it to do business with vmware”, craft rois of the value generated by using vmware products within the vmware environment as well ensure we have a healthy vmware it-to-vmware bu relationship.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be leveraging your knowledge in the areas of marketing, technical prowess and sales as well as rock star program management capabilities

In this role, you will be part of a small, global team that leads the vov effort to achieve our visionYou will have a small team of direct and indirect staff and partner with 2 other directors that help generate field demandYour team will be varied with some members being vmware technical experts, communications specialists, operation focused and financial experts.
Where is this role located?
Remote: this role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the us, but will team members and partners distributed globally (palo alto hq, other parts of the us, costa rica, emea and apac)
