Summary: vse is looking for a distribution supervisor responsible formonitoring the activities of a distribution teamThis position will ensure the business processes, data management, and erp are maintained to support the distribution business.
Duties & responsibilities: responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide analysis in support of distribution business
Review government and commercial rfp
Provide advice to management/technical personnel and negotiate agreements with clients
Advise/train technical staff regarding erp and distribution business
Performs bid evaluations and coordinates with procurement and subcontract team and discuss specific issues in support of the rfq.
Manages the business intelligence reports
Ensures all deltek sales order data is processed in support of rfq
Identifies problems and discrepancies that may occur and assists in implementing corrective action.
Ensures work is being coordinated between other departments, offices, contracts, and finance as applicable.
Ensures effective management of distribution team and all procedures as established in company policies.
Manage 5+ employees at various sites.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
Minimum 5 years of distribution and dla experience and business processes that support receipt of rfq, processing of rfq, vendor selection, quoting, and sales order data management.
Working knowledge of procurement procedures and practices, materials, products, and the commodity market in area of specialization.
Works independently with minimal guidance.
Knowledge of the federal acquisition regulation and related agency supplements, as well as fundamental commercial contracting principles and general business law preferred.
Prepare technical specifications and review and evaluate bids and proposals
Knowledge of the dod market
Experience with military platforms
Technical expertise of lamlinks, general distribution systems erp’s, and inventory management tools
Preferred requirements
Maintain effective working relationships.
Proficiency in the use of technology, data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Exercise tactical, good judgment, and initiative
