Overview: variq is currently seeking a talented devops engineer who is well versed in cloud, devops/security and agileSuccessful candidates must thrive in a people-based corporate culture.
This position will work with the federal government so us citizenship status with the ability to obtain a public trust security clearance is required.
Additional information:
Location: rockville, md or tyson`s corner, va
Available: within 30 days; subject to completing clearance process
Salary: dependent upon experience
Security clearance: eod is preferred, but must be clearable.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of production support personnel handling trouble tickets, data fixes, engineering tasks, etc.
Respond in a timely manner to requests for analysis, information or data
Assist developers and engineers with troubleshooting problems and remove blockers
Design, build, test and deploy highly scalable and resilient cloud-based applications on private and public clouds
Develop deep expertise with amazon web services
Take ownership of key architecture decisions
Knowledgeable in the tools and techniques necessary to design automated deployments using a devops approach
Participate in agile ceremonies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, it, math, engineering or it-related field
5+ years of progressively responsible software engineering and devops experience
Experience designing and implementing end to end continuous delivery pipelines
Deep aws, azure, or google public cloud experience in a production environment (e.gNetwork, security, deployment, automation, serverless technologies)
Configuration management and infrastructure as code (e.gTerraform, chef, puppet, ansible)
Experience collaborating across multiple functional/technical teams to deliver a project
Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying gained knowledge to address business problems
Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution
Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at once while keeping them on track and on schedule
