Overview of role/job purpose:
The senior business analyst works with the consumers of the product to translate business requirements and into the design and configuration of the systemEnsures proper documentation and testing of programming changes and delivers information to testers, trainers, and end users.
Essential duties:
Works with client personnel to identify required changes and effectively communicates these to others.
Develops, reviews, and edits requirements, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solution.
Develops, reviews, and edits functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Supports aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations
Identifies client organization`s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
Manages client expectations effectively.
Mentors those with less experience.
Requirements:
Skills/qualifications:
2-3 years of related work expierence
Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client`s organization and industry.
Ability to clarify flow or process model client requirements and translate them into system solutions
Experience in technology environments and comfortable with technology
Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and organization skills
Able to manage in a constantly changing environment with the ability to multi-task
Knowledge of standard microsoft desktop products
Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles.
Develops relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
Knowledge of industry products supported
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
