Unfortunately, prior to vestwell, small businesses have been neglected and underserved, with expensive, inflexible, poorly designed offerings built on old, mainframe softwareVestwell is changing that, starting with rebuilding the core infrastructure for the modern era.
Vestwell`s north star is to be the engine behind a $30t industry, powering all payroll-deducted workplace savings programs for small-to-midsize businesses, such as 401(k), 403(b), ira, emergency savings accounts (esa), health savings accounts (hsa) , 529 college savings, and alike.

Who are we looking for?
Vestwell is expanding and we`re keen to add an amazing product analyst to our technology team who`s passionate about changing the retirement industryWe`re looking for someone who loves to solve problems and is driven to build great productsThe product analyst will focus on the coordination of the delivery of product enhancements from the requirements phase through user acceptance and production supportTo accomplish this, the candidate must have a deep understanding of client and market needs and the ability to communicate with internal and external development, business, and qa teamsThe position requires the ability to balance client expectations, drive and coordinate resources to meet tight timelines, and keep the project scope in alignment with the overall platform vision.
We`re a startup so a self-starter mentality comes first and foremostYou are someone who will dive into whatever creative challenge is placed in front of you, as you`ll have your hand in any and all of the following: product requirements, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, wireframesYour job requires an amazing relationship with operations, engineering, qa, and business stakeholders to deliver new product features that critically impact the growth of our product.
Day to day, you may additionally:
Help define the scope of the project using input from stakeholders, subject matter experts (smes), and the engineering team
Break down complex business use cases into technical specifications, wireframes, and work with qa department to create test plans
Work closely with engineers to answer questions and redefine logic as necessary
Run meetings, enforce scope, and project manage other teams as necessary to deliver project
Conduct manual testing to ensure the project is properly built to spec
Coordinate deployments and releases, help with business stakeholders to manage communications and training as necessary
Requirements
The necessities
Professional experience as a business or data analyst
Ability to thoroughly understand business requirements, define solutions, and specify functional requirements for use by the software development team
Testing/configuration experience, understanding of database structure and sql
Experience with integrations via apis, oauth, json, xml, and other communication methods
Ability to work in a fast paced, project-oriented environment, and meet deadlines under tight time constraints

Understanding of etl process
