The role/ the opportunity
Besides the boom in virtual meetings, the pandemic has also served to expose the broken core of our healthcare systemOne of the most prominent shifts we’ve seen is the increased focus and priority that mental health plays in our everyday livesTo adjust to these needs, we are seeking a licensed clinical social worker (lcsw) or a licensed professional counselor (lpc) to join our growing team to provide compassionate, personable mental health services and care to our membersThe ideal candidate will contribute meaningfully to the emotional and psychological health of our members and supported businessesHe/she will collaborate with our expanding network of providers and clinical operations team to adjust to the changing needs of our members and innovate new solutions that will allow us to continue optimizing our careOverall, we are looking for reliable individuals who can bring passion, energy, and drive to our vitable community!
The position is part-time and most of our lcsws have a full time job and are on-call for our service when off from workLcsw’s work completely from home, conducting visits via telemedicineThere can be upwards of 3 visits per hour during peak hours or sometimes no visits per hour when our demand is lowThere is a minimum of 8 hours per week of on-call availability per lcsw.
As a clinical social worker or professional counselor for vitable health, you must have effective medical skills, and be able to work independently with a patientYou will be able to set your own scheduleWorking whenever you are available as an independent contractorMost of our lcsws have other jobs and use vitable to earn money when they are off duty.
Responsibilities
Provide at-home and telehealth mental support services
Engage with other providers and clinical operations team to improve services
Prescribing and implementing interventions as indicated by each patient`s specific needs.
Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.
Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic reports, consults, discharge summaries, etc.
Providing education and counseling to patients and families.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in social work (msw), msw-equivalent program, master’s in professional counseling, or related field.
Completed license and examination requirements and currently licensed for lcsw or lcp for pa and/or de state license(s)
Current cpr trained
Prior experience in clinical social work
Prior home health nursing/house call experience is a plus
