The principal qa engineer typically has a professional and/or educational background in software engineering and is focused on testing and ensuring the quality of shipped software, but also a proven record designing and implementing complex solutions for automationThe principal qa engineer works closely with developers and product management to understand the features being developed (which are documented in product requirements, specs, epics and/or user stories); review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback, create detailed - comprehensive test plans and test cases that are then executedAs a principal qa engineer you will help lead and provide guidance to developing, implementing, and maintaining test automation projects.
Responsibilities:
Working with developers, product managers and other qa on a functional area of vroom to ensure full testing and delivery of completed code to production.
Proven experience designing and implementing complex solutions including performance and automation programs.
Responsible for steering/guiding the development, implementation, and maintenance of test automation projects that cover components that comprise the product.
Provide leadership, direction, and execution of the performance program.
Must have experience leading professional engineering teams in an ‘influence only` role by earning respect from both a technical and character perspective.
Contributes to process improvements in the software development life cycle process.
Work with technology feature teams to promote a consistent, technically correct design approach across the product.
