Job overview:
We’re new to the area and looking for someone to help drive sales and maintain consistent growth in bismarck by using a variety of in-person brand activation tacticsTo do that, you will:
Come up with and execute on-the-ground, out-of-the-box, local guerrilla marketing efforts designed to get people talking about our company (events, pop-ups, giveaways, etc.)
Help our marketing team understand and meet the needs of your local community by providing insight into local particularities, customs, activities, and preferences.
Connect with local coffee shops, breweries, etcFor cross-marketing giveaways and events.
Help find and establish local business-to-business relationships with property management companies, property managers, realtors, etc.
Connect with and support our local nonprofit partners when/if they need it.
Hang door-hangers/business cards in neighborhoods around town.
This will require a familiarity with your local area in order to help us understand where and how we should show up to connect with peopleIt will also require you to be comfortable chatting with strangers and cold calling/visiting local businesses to tell them about weclean and help them understand why they should give us a try.
To be clear, this job is not a branding or corporate marketing role and it is not a social media marketing roleIt is a brand activation/on-the-ground marketing role with the goal of driving sales.
A couple of other details:
Your number of hours will be roughly 10ish hrs a week (give or take 2-3/hrs)
There can be some flexibility about when you do those hours (ieWe will work with you whenever we can!)
Things you will need to succeed:
An excellent understanding and knowledge of your city, community, neighborhoods, and people.
A willingness to give up on “easy” modern marketing tactics (social media/internet ads/mailers, etc.)
The ability to brainstorm new ideas, offer insights and opinions - we need your input!
A willingness to get outside your comfort zone to talk to strangers, build relationships, and cold call local businesses.
A car.
Flexibility in when and how much you work, as the hours of the job may vary from week-to-week.
