The role:
Our team is growing quickly as our product evolves toward new categories and user personasYou will work with a skilled team of product managers, engineers, data scientists, and designers building tools that empower users with sophisticated ai capabilities though accessible, intuitive interfaces.
As product design director, you will partner with leaders in product and engineering to cement user experience and design into the team’s work cultureYou will establish holistic design thinking in how we develop our products, more than just how they look and feel to users.
You will set the standards for quality and craft our design strategyMore tactically, you will lead our design team in establishing clear working principles, scaling consistency through frameworks, templates, and libraries of shared components.

Your impact:
Manage a team of ux and data visualization designers
Create design guidelines (visual, interaction, usability, etc.) and establish standards for ux and product design across the team.
Align product design with the copilot brand and values
Establish best practices for design reviews, and set a high bar for quality
Partner with engineering to ensure our development stack aligns with our design vision, and with product to prioritize this alongside other initiatives.
Manage and communicate resource bandwidth with product and project managers.
Be willing to roll-up your sleeves and dig in when the situation calls for it.
Your qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ experience in software ux/ui design
7+ years with web apps
Experience with data products and complex systems
Experience with shipping enterprise software
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Experience with scaling design process via remote work
Experience leading and mentoring ux designers
